Convert XVID to iPhone MP4

If you want your XVID files to-go, managing them with iTunes and putting them on your iPhone or iPod is a great solution. Using AVS Video Converter (AVS Video Tools) you can easily convert between several video formats like your favorite XVID file to MP4 for your iPhone or iPod.

Getting Started

Launch AVS Video Converter (AVS Video Tools), click the browse button and select the XVID file you wish to convert.

Because we are converting for the iPhone or iPod, select the MP4 button. AVS Video Converter has several video profiles to choose for each output format. Select an MP4 profile from the list, in this case, select “iPod 5.x – NTFS Standard Quality – (H.264, 29.97fps, 320×240)”. Using this profile will yield a good quality video for your iPhone or iPod.

If you would like you may select the output filename and folder, by default AVS Video Converter (AVS Video Tools) will save the new file in the same folder as the original file. click the “Convert Now” now button to begin the conversion process.

AVS Video Converter will prompt you once the conversion is complete.

Finally you want to use iTunes to add the output file to your library. Usually when you select “Add File to Library…” the file will be placed in your Movies section Once you’ve done that your all set and ready to sync with your iPhone. If you’ve never synced your iPhone before checkout Apple’s detailed activation and syncing the iPhone video, the syncing segment is about half way into the video.
